The Greater Milwaukee Choral Union (GMCU) is a member of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses
Inc. We are a non-profit
501c(3) organtization and incorporated under the state of Wisconsin.
Our Mission
Our mission, since 1993 is to minister the gospel of JESUS CHRIST in song, praise and worship, and to
willingly share our God-given musical and spiritual gifts with others for God's glory. The GMCU is a nondenominational
organization of individuals who come together to develop our talents and musical abilities, to sing God's praises, and to
encourage each other on our journey of faith.
Purpose
Our ministry is to educate, train, and develop individuals as
choir members, musicians, praise and worship leaders, praise dancers, and choir directors. We pray and strive to encourage our brothers and sisters in Christ, to put forth their best in their
music ministries with our sole motivation being, to glorify God and His Kingdom.

Founded
by Dr. Thomas A. Dorsey, the mission of the National Convention of Gospel Choirs & Choruses (NCGCC) is to better the Christian
singer, instrumentalist, educator, or leader; to enable the prepared Gospel ambassador; and to spiritually motivate everyone
to live the message of the Gospel song. Our goal is to foster an appreciation of Gospel music and to develop the spiritual
growth of our membership.
